There are several reasons that factored into our choice of choosing Frey Construction for our home remodeling project. We had several companies/contractors from the Madison area come to look at our house/give bids and we were impressed with the ideas, suggestions and knowledge of Mark Alexander. He was patient with us and we never felt rushed into a decision. At our request, he came back several times to look at things, address our concerns and offer good solutions. Another reason we chose Frey is because it is a local company and we think it makes good sense to support local businesses. In addition, a huge selling point is that almost all of your services are in house. Our exterior remodel required a number of areas of expertise and we felt that your staff could “do it all” and we wouldn’t have to worry about a lot of subcontractors coming into our home. Finally, we called several references and each spoke very highly of the work, the quality of materials you offered and the ability of your crews to work efficiently, professionally and in a timely manner.
We are incredibly pleased with the result! The computer pictures that Mark showed us at the beginning got us pretty excited, but watching our house be transformed was pretty spectacular. We drive in and say “WOW! This is our house. It looks GREAT!” People walk by and tell us they have been watching the progress and complement us on how amazing it turned out. We think it looks pretty amazing too and tell everyone that the complements will be passed on to you.

We felt that everyone working for Frey took pride in their work and wanted to do things the right way – no short cuts. You should know that Donny and JJ are excellent managers and leaders. Whenever they were on site, the pace was efficient and timely. With a project as large as ours, it would be beneficial to always have a project manager on site to keep the pace moving (time is money!). We felt that Donny and JJ were the ones that truly made this project happen and turn out as well as it did. They made phone calls as necessary, worked with us to make sure that everything was just as we wanted, and made sure that everyone on site worked hard and did a good job. It is obvious that JJ and Donny are well respected among the other Frey employees.

We tell everyone about you! We will continue to recommend Frey to everyone. We are extremely happy with the choice we made to contract with you and will give glowing recommendations.

Everyone at Frey should be commended for their outstanding work. Of course, if we try to list everyone, someone will be forgotten and we don’t want to forget anyone! We thank everyone (and you know who you are!) who endured wasps, bumblebees, bats, mosquitoes, heat, rain, a hot attic, openings that were not level, nosy neighbors, two full dumpsters, old lathe and plaster walls, an occasional “train wreck” and those spiffy lead paint “outfits.” Your daily efforts did not go unnoticed and you all made living within a major remodel “quick and painless.”
You should also know that you were the third or fourth contractor we had called to set up a time to look at our house. It was getting to be a bit of a hassle. What a pleasant surprise when a very friendly woman answered the phone and made us feel like we were old friends. She was kind, knowledgeable and seemed very proud to work for Frey. We’re not sure who it was, but that person needs to be thanked a lot because our first impression was, “if everyone at Frey is as good as her and is as proud to work for Frey, we’re going to be alright.”
