kitchen remodel, oregon | jim + ann reisdorfer

In 2005, we met Jim & Ann Reisdorfer at the MABA show. Later that year, we ended up replacing the windows in their home in Oregon and they LOVED the work we did for them! Fast forward to 2010….it’s time for the next project on their list and who’s the first company they call? Frey Construction of course! Jim and Ann felt it was time to update and add on to their house, as they love the neighborhood and know they want to stay in their current home long term. So, our design team went to work planning out this amazing project! The main ideas were to enlarge the master bedroom and bathroom, incorporate a laundry onto the first floor and open up the kitchen into the living room. After working through several different ideas on how to make this all happen, we all agreed that a 12X28 bump out on the back of the house could accomplish everything the Reisdorfer’s wanted within their budget.

The end result? A wonderful new Great Room with laminate floors running the entire length and an open staircase in the middle to “divide” the living room and dining/kitchen area. The kitchen has custom oak cabinets, including an island with a raised breakfast bar and open shelves on one side and solid surface countertops. Just off the kitchen is the laundry room, which opens into the beautiful, spacious, master bathroom and bedroom.

Jim and Ann seemed to enjoy having us there just as much as we like working on their house – given all the baked goods and other treats Ann made for our guys! She even made a sweater for Kenzi, who came to visit the project with her dad, Don Kleist! Thanks Jim and Ann so much for inviting us back into your home to complete such an amazing transformation – we are delighted that you are SO happy!
