Kitchen Design & Remodel, Oregon, WI

The homeowners from Oregon, WI brought in a lot of inspiration photos for their kitchen design & remodel. Talk about helpful! We went to work, pulling common themes from the images and applying these to their home. They were clear in their hopes for a timeless feel within a space they can love for years to come.

From the very start, the main focus was on the home’s kitchen. With this as the anchor, the particulars fell into place  throughout the rest of the remodel.

We changed the layout of much of the main floor, removing walls that once separated kitchen and living room. The now open floor plan has beautiful and low-maintenance new LVT flooring. And to make the space even more expansive, the stairs from main to lower level are now minus half a wall, replaced with a beautiful new banister.  Check out the photos!

In the kitchen, new cabinets in a deep forest green are finished with brass hardware, while wall tiles and quartz countertops add a creamy white finishing touch that’s smart and beautiful. New appliances are all placed with workflow in mind, and include a 6-burner gas stove and powerful hood fan & light combo above. A large island—complete with a stunning  farmhouse-style double-sink and brass faucet kit—is sure to be a mix of workhorse and gathering space.

In the living room, the fireplace called for a total facelift! We removed the mantle and tile surround, replacing it with a dramatic floor-to-ceiling stucco mantle and surround. And speaking of ceilings, the entire hearth room is now topped with shiplap that’s painted a creamy white. Wow!

In the laundry room, we replaced the standard side-by-side washer and dryer with stacked, front-loading options. This opened up the space to allow for a small desk area, storage closet, and a dog wash station! This remodel even
has something for the family pooch!

Last but not least… New lighting throughout was chosen to be attractive, efficient, and convenient. Ditto for the home’s front entrance. The front door now opens to a charming entryway that offers comfort and convenience, with a built-in bench, closets, and storage cubbies. If it could talk, it would be saying "Welcome Home.”
