CAUTION MADISON AREA HOMEOWNERS: Storm Chasers Are Arriving!!!

Storm chasing companies are moving in to the areas of Madison that were hit by the hail storm this past weekend.

The Madison hail storm swept across the area in the early morning hours on Saturday, September 18th. Our crews have been out and about in the Madison area providing free hail inspections to the areas that were hit by the hail. A lot of damage has been found...but if you don't protect yourself from the storm chasing companies that are moving in to the area...much more damage can be done.

We also want to caution you to be aware of companies that are swarming your neighborhood. You have most likely received numerous flyers from a wide variety of companies. Hail damage = STORM CHASERS. Out of State contractors are coming into town to target the areas hit by the hail storm. Often times, these “storm chasing” companies show up with out – of – state plates, no insurance and shoddy workmanship. Word of advice: before agreeing to anything with any company, verify proof of insurance, check them out with the better business bureau and don’t work with any one that is not a local company.

The promise that you will hear from these storm chasing companies is FREE! They will offer to replace your roof for the exact amount that your insurance company is willing to pay. How can they do that? We don’t know either…how can you properly replace a roof, siding or windows without knowing the amount that your insurance company is willing to cover? Our advice, do not sign a contract stating that they will represent you against your insurance company and do the job for the money that they get. If they say the will provide you a warranty, remember that they will be moving out of town towards an new town that will be affected by the next hail storm. Leaving you with no one to turn to when you have workmanship problems...which we can almost guarantee that you will.
