Randy and Rose Birkholz, Sun Prairie, WI - Kitchen Remodel

We first met our August Client of the Month, Randy and Rose Birkholz at the Madison Area Builders Association trade show last year. But, Frey Construction was not a new name to Randy and Rose, they had already heard good things about Frey from their sister, who is a past client of ours!

Randy and Rose came to us with a few wishes in mind, one was to update their kitchen, the other was to enlarge it! Their old kitchen was outdated, and some of the craftsmanship from previous owners of their home, didn't meet their standards. These were all things we were eager to help with!

Randy and Rose wanted to open up their kitchen and dining area by removing a wall that separated their kitchen and dining room. Other than that, they weren't too sure of what other ideas and concepts would fit their needs the best...they thought maybe they'd like an island...but they didn't know how to make it work with the space they had. So, they sat down with Scott and Jenn to go over design options. After working closely with Randy and Rose, we found the perfect design for them. We weren't able to fit an island in their kitchen - no matter how many ways we tried. However, after several design revisions, we came up with a great solution! The new kitchen is very open, with a peninsula on one end that includes a prep sink and a raised breakfast bar. Plus, there is a TON of new cabinet space!

Randy, who works at Chase Lumber, opted to get their cabinets and countertops through his work. This worked great for our remodeling system - because our clients are able to do as little or as much to help with the project!

The entire kitchen remodel came together beautifully! The floor choice compliments the cabinets wonderfully and the countertop and custom tile backsplash tie it all together!
